Summary: It is often said, "Christianity is about a personal relationship with Christ". This is true. But it's nol. the whole truth. Christianity is also about corporate relationship to the body of Christ. One cannot be united to Christ (the head) without also being united to the Church (the body). Join us as we consider what it means to live out our Christian lives as a member of the body, and in relation to other members of the body, in the context of the local church. Over these 15 weeks, we will consider topics like: unity, corporate worship, fellowship, friendship, discipleship, hospitality, submission, corporate evangelism, and many others!

Biblical Studies Class:

Title: Overview of the New Testament-Part 1

Date:  Starting May 18, 2025 - September 25, 2025

Summary:  The Bible is a light to our path and food for our soul as Christians. So it is important that we know it well. Achieving this requires both in-depth studies of individual books as well as overview studies of larger sections. This class is an overview of the books in the NT. After discussing some introductory matters, we will go through one NT book each class period (with some exceptions). You will learn the historical background of each book, get a general sense of their teaching and reflect on their contribution to the Bible as a whole. This overview will take 2 trimesters to complete. In this first trimester we will cover Matthew through 2 Thessalonians. I hope many of you will consider attending this important class.
